To raise money for our foundation, Service for Sight, Delta Gamma hosts events throughout the year benefitting the visually impaired. While we love the social aspects of joining a sorority offers, we value service and are always looking for new ways to "Do Good." Every fall semester we hold Delta Gamburger, a BBQ in our backyard where we sell hamburgers to raise money for Service for Sight. We also get to hold Anchor Splash every year, the biggest fundraising event for DG. Teams sign up to participate in an array of water sports including diving, and syncronized swimming. The teams consists of fraternity men, other Panhellenic sororities and campus sports teams. Everyone involved always makes the event so much fun and we look forward to it every year. This semester we will hold a new food philanthropy event, Grilled Cheese with DeeGees and invite all students and organizations to our home to raise money for Service for Sight and eat some grilled cheeses.
We are lucky enough to donate our money to local San Diego centers for the visually impaired. Along with our hands on volunteering we are honored to contribute to their growth and help assist them in their efforts to help the visually impaired.
